Joining the Global Science Club

Science is no longer geeky. Okay, it can be a little geeky, but it's also critical if we are to get beyond climate change. And there are ways that we can all participate in the research and projects that will help us help the environment. So put in your pocket protector, get out your graph paper and find a project that fits your lifestyle, because participating in saving the planet is fun!

- The Celsias blog has a whole section on projects. Some of my favorites include the Vanishing of the Bees, Ride to Sustain, Find me a Car (that's me, find me a car!), and the New Orleans sustainable housing.

- Here's an easy one now that spring is here,  start tracking when plants bud, flower and leaf out in your neighborhood.  This is a great project for kids!

- Plant bee friendly flowers to help the collapsing bee population

- Climate Change Project  has some good ideas, too.
